About Me
Esther is a thoughtful and determined young girl who has learned that life can change in an instant, yet she continues to believe in tomorrow. She enjoys learning, values every opportunity to be in school, and dreams of becoming a doctor. Watching her younger sibling struggle with asthma has given her a deep desire to care for sick children and families, hoping that one day no child will have to suffer simply because help came too late. Beneath her quiet nature is a resilient spirit that refuses to let loss extinguish hope.
About My Family
Esther lives with her elderly grandmother, who became the anchor of the family after the children lost both of their parents within a short period. Her father died in a tragic road accident, and not long afterwards, her mother passed away while working in the Middle East as a domestic worker, where she had gone in search of a better future for her children. Since then, their grandmother has lovingly opened her home to Esther and her siblings, doing everything she can to keep the family together despite overwhelming challenges.
Caring for several grandchildren, including a young child who requires ongoing treatment for asthma, stretches the family’s limited resources beyond their reach. Even meeting the most basic needs can be difficult, and keeping the children in school is a constant struggle.
